1st syawal. the day of victory. over abstaining against the forces of evil and all temptations all month long in the course of ramadhan. but i say i failed. many others too without realizing it. diminishes the meaning of celebrating the victory.
doesnt matter to me, coz i seriously couldnt care and am not hyped up for syawal.

wat was once a meaningful day i looked forward to every year, is no longer wat i wish it would be. in fact, i began to dread the day. as early as the first day of ramadhan. heck, i think i should disregard my name and be anonymous. ramdzan, my given name coz i was born in the month of ramadhan i guess, and syawal; my family name. since i hate it, i think i better change wat ppl call me.so ppl reading this, take note, u mite have to stop calling me zan or awal. maybe ma'on or bakar or mail or watever..

and i hate it tat only in syawal, tat u see ppl seeking forgiveness. wif their lavishly decorated acessories and extravagant clothings and thick as fuck make-up.
wat? in other days, they're immune from mistakes? and this is also the time u see relatives, sometimes once in a year, sometimes never, most times it's only in syawal. and fantastic thing is, they apologize! and wif tat, maybe they shed crocodile tears. that is so overrated. i fucking hate that idea. and who spares a thought for the destitute, the lonely, the orphans, the poor?

none. coz most are busy visiting colecting money. and showing off. in their brand spanking new and colourful clothes. even those who are truly islam, and i mean those in the middle east, dont celebrate syawal they way we do here. they do it simple. there's not even much visiting. we are too excessive here.

enough of my rants. it's not tat i'm a sad piece of shit. heck, i could have spend my money getting new clothes and all but i choose not to. coz to me, it's a meaningless celebration. anyway, music mania 3 at gas haus was great.

it was a blast. wif the right company of coz. headed down wif ajis, ham and khai and met the rest there. during the set of someone murdered cupid which boya played, ham and khai got their arms injured in the pit. haha. it was fun and hectic.

odds of stella put up an awesome set. the crowd was totally in the mood when they played. then came tat fillipino band. the scenesters were taking a break when they played. coz obviously the band didnt cater to their choice of song. but the only local fucker in the crowd was khai.damnit. coz he was into rhcp. and the band was playing dat for a while. and then they played sublime's santeria. tats when the scenesters got off their asses and skank the fuck away. it was fun.

then they mellowed down, coz the band was playing some of their local songs i think. but still stick around, getting mad in the sing along part. and there's this song they played in their language, which sounded like "sleamat hari raya" and the kids were singing just tat. a lagu raya. wat da fuck!! it was hilarious, wif their antics and all.

we stayed around till duxton plains took the stage. zan from melanie murder fronted the band as a guitarist. and my fren aidil was at the drums. i think zan is the man. although i'm zan too, but it's not me. he is the man lah. seriously. coz when i saw melanie murder, the aggresion he put forward through the mics, i felt he's like the force in the band. and then two days ago i saw duxton plains. again, i felt tat as the lead guitarist, he drove the band. there's this aura or something, watever it is, tat is clear enuff for a person to see, tat he is the force behind those two good band. so, zan is the man! haha.

then the closing band, nicotine content. we felt every single member of the band was good, except the vocalist. watever he is. he didnt even sing. he was just like a prop. and that made us pack up and leave. coz he was merely introducing the band in the begining and dancing his ass off like austin powers in a cabaret dance.watdafuck. and he stood there like the star, horsecrap! fuck him.

anyway to all, sleamat hari raya and a thousand apologies to all whom i might have offended directly or indirectly. no hard feelings. after all, we are just human. but in the celebrations, i hope, let us not forget the less fortunate and not celebrate excessively. till the next update.. take care.
