the gig tat was supposed to be the most memorable for dying portrait turns out to be just dat. for the wrong reasons. total metalcore for us was total metalcrap.
firstly, the turnout wasnt as great as the turn out for battalion1. next was the re-shuffling in the band line up. for watever goddamn reason. that left us waiting. we were supposed to go on somewhere after the middle of the event, but we played only second to last. and i slept while waiting. i could have completed my painting at home! then came the blow for us. 4 songs. tat's all luke told we had time for. utter crap. horse shit.after all the waiting, tat was all we had time for. 4 bloody songs. wtf. and some bands had longer playing time. one played 8 songs i think. watever it was, it ruined the whole damn mood.
i've never seen sufran so bloody pissed. i tot he of all of us, were the least concerned about the band.. haha but he proved his worth. he was furious. and then we were outside pissing ourselves away and roy came up to us and apologize. saying he was sorry and all, and talking bout compensating us some cash and promising tat we will get wat we deserve in our next gig. tat was the least sufran could care for. wat drove him mad was tat we were told only when we were about to go on. not before hand.
and upon reaching home, boya was told by munky tat the instruction luke gave us was passed down by roy himself. wtf. so wat was the apologies and compensation ever for? colin's bulletin proved it's worth. based on wat i've heard, and based on the events tat happened to us at totalmetalcore, i guess things are clearly proven about xtreme music. i think the rest is history.
on a lighter note, our brothers and sisters from shadows embrace and rhetorical theory brought the house down. great sets from both bands. and on behalf of dying portrait, i'd like to thank everyone one who stayed to watch us play those four pathetic songs though at the end of our set, i heard and felt some disappointment from the crowd. we hail u guys who support us. adios. x it's the time of death x @7:47 PM
